University of Bari "Aldo Moro"

About the Institution

The University of Bari Aldo Moro (UNIBA) is one of the largest public universities in southern Italy. It takes part in the project through the Department of Translational Biomedicine and Neuroscience (DiBraiN) and its Psychiatric Neuroscience Group, an internationally recognised team working at the interface of clinical neuroscience, neuroimaging and genetics. The group studies the brain mechanisms underlying psychiatric and neurological disorders by combining multiparametric high-field MRI, whole-brain magnetoencephalography, genetics, cognitive assessment and computational modelling. Building on a long-standing integration of clinical care and research at the Bari University Hospital, and on collaborations with leading international centres, its work aims to translate high-resolution brain data into tools for early identification, patient stratification and personalised care in brain health.
