About the Institution

CRIB-UNINA is a research infrastructure of the University of Naples Federico II devoted to the development and characterization of advanced biomaterials, biohybrid systems, and three-dimensional in vitro models for biomedical applications. The institution integrates expertise in materials science, tissue engineering, biofabrication, and cell biology, providing a multidisciplinary environment for the design of innovative platforms that reproduce key structural and functional features of human tissues. CRIB-UNINA is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for the synthesis, processing, and physicochemical characterization of macromolecular and biomimetic materials, as well as for the fabrication and culture of biohybrid constructs. Its laboratories include dedicated spaces for cell and organotypic tissue culture, enabling the generation, maintenance, and analysis of three-dimensional tissue models under controlled and physiologically relevant conditions.
